Ingredients
1½ cup shredded kataifi dough
2 tbsps butter (unsalted)
1 tbsp tahini paste
1 cup milk chocolate (or dark chocolate)
¾ cup pistachio cream
1½ cup fresh strawberries
chopped pistachios (for garnishing)
½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and toast the kataifi dough until golden brown. Add the tahini paste and pistachio cream, then mix until well combined.
Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Once melted, add the heavy cream and mix until a smooth ganache forms. Adjust consistency by adding more cream if needed.
Wash and cut the strawberries into bite-sized pieces.
Layer the dessert in cups by alternating the kataifi mixture, strawberries, and chocolate ganache. Repeat layers until cups are filled.
Garnish with chopped pistachios and serve.
Notes
Use dark chocolate for a less sweet flavor profile.
Serve chilled for a firmer texture or at room temperature for a softer consistency.
You can substitute pistachio cream with hazelnut spread for variation.
Best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
