These caramel nut marshmallow pops are a delightful no-bake treat featuring fluffy marshmallows dipped in rich caramel and coated with crunchy chopped nuts. Perfect for parties, holiday dessert tables, and homemade edible gifts.

Ingredients

  • 20 large marshmallows
  • 20 lollipop sticks or paper straws
  • 11 oz soft caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans, walnuts, or peanuts

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Insert a lollipop stick or sturdy paper straw into the center of each marshmallow, pushing it about halfway through.
  3. Place the chopped nuts in a shallow bowl for easy dipping.
  4. Combine the unwrapped caramel candies and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20- to 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the caramel is completely melted and smooth.
  5. Allow the melted caramel to cool slightly until thick enough to cling to the marshmallows but still easy to dip.
  6. Hold each marshmallow by its stick and dip it into the warm caramel, turning gently to coat the marshmallow.
  7. Let excess caramel drip back into the bowl, then immediately roll the coated marshmallow in the chopped nuts until evenly covered.
  8. Place the finished marshmallow pops on the prepared baking sheet, keeping them separated.
  9. Allow the caramel to set at room temperature for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, or refrigerate briefly until firm.
  10. Serve once the caramel has set, or package individually in clear treat bags for gifting.

Notes

  • This is an adapted version inspired by Glorious Treats’ Caramel Nut Marshmallow Pops; ingredient quantities and timing are estimates rather than verified measurements from the original recipe.
  • Use fresh, soft marshmallows for the best texture.
  • Pecans, walnuts, and peanuts all work well. Toast the nuts lightly before chopping for a richer flavor.
  • If the caramel becomes too thick while dipping, warm it gently for a few seconds and stir until smooth.
  • A small amount of cream helps create a smoother caramel coating.
  • For a festive variation, drizzle the finished pops with melted chocolate after the caramel has set.
  • Store in an airtight container at cool room temperature for up to 2 days, separating layers with parchment paper.
  • For gifting, wrap each fully set pop in a clear cellophane bag and tie with a decorative ribbon.
  • Use halal-certified marshmallows and other ingredients if preparing this recipe for a halal diet.
