Cherry Churro Cheesecake Bars combine creamy vanilla cheesecake, sweet cherry filling, flaky crescent dough, and a crisp cinnamon-sugar topping. They are an easy, crowd-pleasing dessert with churro-inspired flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce) blocks cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided use)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans crescent dough sheets
  • 21 ounce can cherry pie filling
  • 2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup granulated sugar and the ground cinnamon. Sprinkle a light layer of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Unroll one crescent dough sheet and press it evenly into the bottom of the baking dish, gently sealing any seams if needed.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the crescent dough layer.
  6. Spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the cheesecake layer.
  7. Unroll the second crescent dough sheet and carefully place it over the cherry filling, gently stretching it to fit the pan.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top layer of dough.
  9. Bake on the middle oven rack for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the crescent dough is fully cooked.
  10. Allow the bars to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for a smooth cheesecake filling.
  • Chilling the bars for at least 1 hour before slicing helps produce cleaner, neater pieces.
  • Store leftover bars covered in the refrigerator.
