Ingredients
1 pound ground chicken
1/4 cup parsley (finely chopped)
1/2 small yellow onion (finely chopped)
1 garlic clove (pressed)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Place the ground chicken, parsley, onion, garlic, and spices in a large bowl. Mix with your hands until well combined; the mixture will be slightly sticky.
Form the mixture into oblong shapes about 1 inch thick, with or without skewers.
Preheat a greased gas grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the kafta for 4–5 minutes per side, until fully cooked through.
Serve hot off the grill with your choice of sides.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for chicken if desired.
Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
Serve with rice, pita bread, or a fresh salad.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
