Sweet, salty, and crunchy apple-shaped treats made with wavy potato chips, colorful candy melts, and pretzel stems. These fun no-bake treats are perfect for fall parties, school celebrations, and apple-themed desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bag of Wavy/Ruffle Potato Chips
  • Pretzel Sticks
  • 6 Ounces of Red Chocolate Candy Melts
  • 2 Ounces Green Chocolate Candy Melts

Instructions

  1. Place the red chocolate candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval, until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Dip the potato chips completely into the melted red chocolate. Use a fork or clean, gloved hands to remove each chip, gently shaking off the excess chocolate. Place on parchment paper and allow to set for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Dip each pretzel stick about three-quarters of the way into the melted red chocolate.
  4. Turn the set chocolate-covered chips over. Place a freshly dipped pretzel stick onto the back of each chip to create the apple stem. Allow to set for about 5 minutes.
  5. Melt the green chocolate candy melts using the same microwave method. Transfer the melted green candy to a piping bag and cut a small hole in the tip.
  6. Turn the chips front-side up. Pipe a small upside-down teardrop-shaped leaf at the top of each chip next to the pretzel stem. Allow the leaves to set for about 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Choose large, intact wavy or ruffled potato chips for the easiest dipping and decorating.
  • Microwave candy melts in short intervals to prevent scorching.
  • Allow each chocolate layer to set before handling the treats to prevent smudging.
  • Store finished treats in an airtight container at cool room temperature.
