Ingredients

  • 23 stalks of celery
  • white cheese cubes
  • green olives
  • black olives
  • green grapes (seedless)
  • red grapes (seedless)
  • dried apricots
  • pistachios (shelled)
  • crackers
  • rosemary sprigs
  • holiday and alphabet cookies (optional)
  • 1 (10 oz) container cherry tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) container mozzarella balls
  • fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Gather mozzarella balls, basil leaves, cherry tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and toothpicks.
  2. Prepare the caprese skewers by piercing a cherry tomato lengthwise with a toothpick.
  3. Add a basil leaf by piercing it through the center and layering it next to the tomato.
  4. Finish each skewer with a mozzarella ball at the end and drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze. Set aside.
  5. Gather all remaining ingredients and a 12×18 inch wooden cutting board.
  6. Wash and cut celery into finger-length sticks and arrange vertically to form the tree trunk base.
  7. Arrange white cheese cubes in a wide horizontal layer at the bottom to start the tree shape.
  8. Add caprese skewers, green olives, and black olives, gradually narrowing each row to form a tree silhouette.
  9. Continue layering with grapes, dried apricots, and pistachios, maintaining the tree shape.
  10. Tuck rosemary sprigs throughout to resemble tree branches.
  11. Line crackers along the bottom edge of the board.
  12. Decorate with holiday cookies if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use different cheeses for variety in flavor and texture.
  • Swap pistachios for almonds or cashews if preferred.
