Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • Pinch of ground pepper

  • Toppings of choice: avocado, ketchup, red onion, jalapeño slices, avocado oil mayo

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, lime juice, lime zest, onion, cilantro, garlic powder, sea salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
  3. Lightly coat a non-stick skillet or grill pan with cooking spray and heat over medium heat.
  4. Add the burgers and cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve immediately on buns or lettuce wraps with your preferred toppings.

  • For extra flavor, let the mixture rest for 10 minutes before shaping.
  • These burgers can be grilled outdoors over medium heat.
