Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk (more if needed for desired consistency)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon dried chives or fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Stir until smooth.
  2. Add lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper to the mixture. Stir well to combine.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or herbs as desired.
  4. Cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve chilled over salads, as a dip, or on any dish that could use a creamy dressing boost. Garnish with chives if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt or a lighter mayo.
  • You can also adjust the consistency by adding more buttermilk if you like a thinner dressing.
