This cozy gingerbread latte blends coffee with warm spices, maple syrup, and molasses for a festive café-style drink. Topped with homemade spiced whipped cream, it’s perfect for chilly mornings or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 Tbsp. real maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups brewed black coffee (1/2 cup per mug)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together the whole milk, maple syrup, molasses, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until the mixture reaches a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup brewed black coffee into each mug and add about 1/2 cup of the warm milk mixture. Stir to combine.
  4. Top each latte with a generous dollop of spiced whipped cream and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • Whole milk creates the creamiest texture, but other milk varieties may be substituted.
  • Dust the whipped cream with extra cinnamon for a festive presentation.
