Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (about 300g), rotisserie or leftover
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) sour cream
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup (75g) blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the sour cream until smooth.
  4. Mix in the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  5. Add the buffalo wing sauce and stir until fully combined.
  6. Fold in the shredded cooked chicken.
  7. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, reserving a small handful for the topping.
  8. Spread the mixture evenly into an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle the blue cheese crumbles and reserved cheddar cheese over the top.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly around the edges and lightly golden on top.
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  12. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired and serve warm with celery sticks, tortilla chips, or crackers.
