Crescent Mummy Dogs are a fun Halloween twist on classic pigs in a blanket, wrapping hot dogs in strips of flaky crescent dough to look like little mummies. They are an easy, kid-friendly party snack or quick meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • Mustard or ketchup, for decorating and serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Press the perforations as needed and cut the dough into narrow strips.
  3. Wrap several strips of dough around each hot dog, stretching and overlapping them slightly to resemble mummy bandages. Leave a small opening near one end for the face.
  4. Place the wrapped hot dogs on an ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 13 to 17 minutes, or until the crescent dough is puffed and golden brown.
  6. Add small dots of mustard or ketchup to create mummy eyes. Serve warm with additional mustard or ketchup if desired.

Notes

  • Leave a small gap in the crescent dough near the top of each hot dog so the mummy face is visible.
  • Serve with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
  • For best results, serve the mummy dogs warm while the crescent dough is crisp and flaky.
