Ingredients
1 (8-ounce) block parmesan or cheddar cheese, shredded
2 small white onions, sliced 1/8-inch thick rounds
Avocado oil cooking spray
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Ranch dip, for serving
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the shredded cheese on the prepared baking sheet in a thin, even layer.
Arrange the onion slices on top of the cheese so they are touching but not overlapping.
Lightly spray the onions with cooking oil spray. In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then sprinkle evenly over the onions.
Bake for about 20 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
Allow to cool for 5–10 minutes, then break apart and serve with ranch dip or your favorite sauce.
Notes
Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal.
Cheddar will give a sharper flavor, while parmesan creates a crispier texture.
Letting the rings cool slightly helps them firm up and become crispier.
