  • 1 Tablespoon Dill Pickle Relish
  • 1 Teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 2 Teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Minced Onion
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef (90% Lean)
  • 8 Flour Tortillas (Small/Fajita Size)
  • Vegetable Oil
  • 8 Slices American Cheese
  • Iceberg Lettuce, for topping
  • Pickles, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, minced onion, salt, and pepper until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. In a separate bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Do not overmix.
  3. Heat a lightly oiled skillet over high heat until very hot.
  4. Press a thin, even layer of seasoned beef onto each tortilla.
  5. Place each tortilla into the skillet beef-side down and press firmly with a saucepan or spatula to create a smashburger effect.
  6. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, then flip and cook the tortilla side until lightly crisp.
  7. Top each taco with a slice of American cheese and cover for 30 to 60 seconds until melted.
  8. Repeat with remaining tortillas and beef.
  9. Serve topped with the prepared sauce, shredded iceberg lettuce, and pickles.

Notes

  • Use a cast-iron skillet for the best crust on the beef.
  • Small flour tortillas work best for easy handling.
  • Store leftover sauce in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
