Ingredients
1 gallon green Hawaiian Punch
2 liters Sprite or other lemon-lime soda
46 ounces pineapple juice
Red sanding sugar, for decorating glasses
Water, for wetting the rims of glasses
Instructions
Pour the green Hawaiian Punch into a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser.
Add the pineapple juice and gently stir to combine.
Slowly pour in the Sprite or lemon-lime soda and stir gently to preserve the carbonation.
Pour a small amount of water into a shallow dish and place the red sanding sugar in a separate shallow dish.
Dip the rim of each serving glass into the water, then into the red sanding sugar to create a festive red rim.
Carefully ladle or pour the Grinch Punch into the prepared glasses.
Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
Notes
Chill all the ingredients before mixing so the punch stays cold without needing much ice.
Add the lemon-lime soda just before serving to keep the punch bubbly.
Use ginger ale instead of Sprite for a slightly different flavor.
For a festive presentation, garnish with red maraschino cherries or green and red holiday straws.
To prepare ahead, combine the Hawaiian Punch and pineapple juice and refrigerate. Add the soda just before serving.
Store leftover punch covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. The soda will gradually lose its fizz.
