A quick and flavorful garlic butter shrimp pasta that comes together in just 30 minutes, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. Pour in a bit of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and parsley. Toss until well coated.
  6. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan if desired.
