This grilled guacamole adds a smoky twist to the classic dip by charring fresh ingredients before blending. It’s creamy, flavorful, and perfect for serving with chips or as a topping.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 12 jalapeños
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush the avocado halves, onion slices, and jalapeños lightly with olive oil.
  3. Place them on the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes until charred and softened.
  4. Remove from grill and let cool slightly. Scoop avocado flesh into a bowl.
  5. Finely chop the grilled onion and jalapeños, then add to the bowl.
  6. Add lime juice, chopped cilantro, and salt.
  7. Mash everything together to your desired consistency.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeño quantity based on preferred spice level.
  • For extra flavor, leave some chunks instead of fully mashing.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 day with plastic wrap pressed onto the surface.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, tacos, or grilled meats.
