Rich, fudgy homemade brownies with a deep chocolate flavor and a soft, chewy center. Perfect for dessert or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and mix it with sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until a thick batter forms.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to keep brownies fudgy.
  • Add chocolate chips or nuts for extra texture.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Serve with ice cream for a richer dessert.
