Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
  4. Return the sausage to the skillet. Add the shrimp, honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  5. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and stir into the skillet. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
