Ingredients

  • 10 apples (mixed sweet and tart), quartered
  • 1 orange, quartered
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp whole cloves
  • 1/2 tbsp allspice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 8 cups water

Instructions

  1. Add quartered apples and orange to the Instant Pot.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice, brown sugar, and water.
  3. Close the lid, seal the valve, and pressure cook on high for 15 minutes.
  4. Allow pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
  5. Use a potato masher to mash the fruits.
  6. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher.
  7. Serve hot, or refrigerate and reheat when ready to drink.
