Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
Lemon pepper seasoning, to taste
Fresh lemon juice, to taste
Lemon slices, for serving
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Pat the chicken breasts dry and season generously on both sides with lemon pepper seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken and cook until golden brown on the first side. Flip and continue cooking until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Reduce the heat and add butter and fresh lemon juice to the skillet. Spoon the lemon butter over the chicken until well coated.
Remove from the heat and serve immediately with lemon slices and fresh parsley.
Notes
Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness for quicker, more uniform cooking.
Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
For the juiciest chicken, avoid cooking beyond an internal temperature of 165°F.
Store leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container and reheat gently before serving.
