A cozy London Fog Latte made with fragrant Earl Grey tea, warm frothed milk, and a touch of sweetness. Vanilla and cream make it extra rich and comforting.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup filtered water
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 2 teaspoons (8g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk (any percentage)
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small pot, kettle, or microwave. Pour ½ cup water into an 8-ounce mug, add the Earl Grey tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags, then stir in the sugar.
  2. While the tea steeps, heat the milk in a small pot on the stove or in the microwave until it begins to steam, without letting it boil. Whisk vigorously until foamy or froth with a handheld milk frother.
  3. Pour most of the frothed milk into the tea, leaving a little room at the top. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, if using, then top with the remaining milk and foam. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use any percentage of dairy milk according to your preference.
  • The heavy cream and vanilla extract are optional but add extra richness and flavor.
  • Do not boil the milk; heat it just until steaming for the best texture.
  • A handheld milk frother creates a light, café-style foam.
