These Monster Halloween Marshmallow Pops are adorable, colorful, and delightfully spooky treats made with jumbo marshmallows dipped in candy melts and decorated with candy eyes and sprinkles. Perfect for Halloween parties, kids’ activities, and festive dessert tables, they’re ready in just 5 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 10 jumbo marshmallows
  • 10 candy sticks
  • 2 cups candy melts (340 g)
  • Candy eyes, as needed
  • Sprinkles, as needed
  • Orange, green, and purple candy food coloring (optional, if using white candy melts)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Insert a candy stick into the center of each jumbo marshmallow, making sure it is secure.
  3. Melt the candy melts according to the package instructions until smooth. If using white candy melts, divide the melted candy into separate bowls and add orange, green, or purple candy food coloring a little at a time, stirring until you achieve your desired shades.
  4. Arrange the melted candy, sprinkles, and candy eyes on your work surface for easy decorating.
  5. Dip each marshmallow into your chosen melted candy coating, turning gently until evenly covered. Allow any excess coating to drip off.
  6. While the coating is still wet, dip the top of each marshmallow into sprinkles to create colorful monster hair.
  7. Immediately press candy eyes onto the wet coating to create funny or spooky monster faces.
  8. Place the decorated marshmallow pops on the parchment-lined tray and allow the candy coating to harden. Repeat with the remaining marshmallows until all 10 pops are decorated and set.

Notes

  • Use orange, green, and purple candy melts for a colorful Halloween theme, or tint white candy melts with oil-based candy coloring.
  • Avoid water-based food coloring, as it can cause melted candy coatings to seize.
  • Work quickly when adding sprinkles and candy eyes so they stick before the candy coating hardens.
  • Experiment with different numbers and arrangements of candy eyes to create unique monster expressions.
  • If the candy coating becomes too thick, gently reheat it according to the package instructions.
  • Allow the pops to set completely before serving or packaging. Setting time may vary depending on room temperature.
  • Store in an airtight container at cool room temperature for up to 3 days, away from heat and moisture.
  • These marshmallow pops make fun Halloween party favors, classroom treats, and additions to spooky dessert platters.
