This creamy no bake banana pudding is layered with vanilla wafers, fresh bananas, and fluffy pudding for an easy crowd-pleasing dessert. Perfect for potlucks, holidays, or make-ahead treats.

Ingredients

  • 5.1 oz vanilla instant pudding
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 3 large bananas, thinly sliced (or 4 medium)
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • 1 box Nilla Wafer cookies
  • Additional bananas for garnish, if desired

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until smooth.
  2. Fold in half of the Cool Whip until well combined.
  3. Arrange a layer of Nilla Wafer cookies on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  4. Add a layer of sliced bananas over the cookies.
  5. Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the bananas and spread evenly with a spatula.
  6. Repeat the layers with cookies, bananas, and the remaining pudding mixture.
  7. Spread the remaining Cool Whip evenly over the top layer.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh banana slices and crushed cookies if desired.

Notes

  • For best texture, assemble the pudding a few hours before serving.
  • Use ripe but firm bananas to prevent browning.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Crushed vanilla wafers make a great topping garnish.
