These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are loaded with tender shaved beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and melty provolone cheese baked on soft Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for parties, game days, or an easy family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs shaved beef
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 3 medium green bell peppers, sliced
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic, divided
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Add olive oil, sliced onions, and sliced peppers to a sauté pan. Cook over medium heat until softened, then remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Add shaved beef, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, beef broth, salt, and pepper to a large sauté pan. Cook over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  4. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Italian seasoning, and remaining minced garlic.
  5. Slice the slider buns or Hawaiian rolls in half if needed.
  6. Place the bottom halves of the buns in a baking dish or on a baking tray.
  7. Layer the cooked shaved beef over the buns, then top with the sautéed peppers and onions followed by the provolone cheese slices.
  8. Place the top buns over the filling and brush generously with the butter mixture.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use white American cheese instead of provolone for a more traditional cheesesteak flavor.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven at 325°F to keep the rolls crisp.
  • Add mushrooms or jalapeños for extra flavor and texture.
