This homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup is rich, cozy, and full of warm fall flavors. Perfect for coffee, lattes, pancakes, waffles, or desserts, it comes together in just minutes with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, pumpkin puree, vanilla, and pumpkin spice until well combined.
  2. Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. For a thinner syrup, remove from the heat at this point.
  3. For a thicker syrup, continue simmering for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the desired consistency is reached. The syrup will continue to thicken slightly as it cools.
  4. Serve immediately or allow the syrup to cool before transferring it to a mason jar or other airtight storage container.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Shake or stir before using if the pumpkin settles.
  • Adjust the simmering time to achieve your preferred consistency.
  • Delicious in coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, and desserts.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
