Ingredients
200g smoked salmon, thinly sliced
200g sharp cheddar cheese, sliced and cubed
100g cream cheese, softened
1 cup rye crackers or toast squares
3 tablespoons dark berry jam (blueberry or blackberry)
1 tablespoon capers, drained
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Fresh dill sprigs for garnish
Cracked black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Instructions
Start with a long wooden serving board or large slate board and plan the layout with salmon on one end, cheese in the middle, and crackers on the opposite end.
Loosely fold or ruffle the smoked salmon slices and arrange them in a clustered section, slightly overlapping.
Arrange the cheese by fanning out sliced pieces in a zigzag pattern and placing cubed cheese in a separate cluster for variety.
Place crackers in a slightly overlapping row or stacked arrangement.
Spoon the berry jam into a small bowl and place it near the salmon. Add capers either in a small dish or scattered on the board.
Add small portions of cream cheese onto the board.
Fill gaps with fresh dill sprigs and place lemon wedges along the edges.
Finish with cracked black pepper and an optional drizzle of honey. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality smoked salmon for the best flavor.
Substitute gluten-free crackers if needed.
Keep ingredients chilled until ready to assemble.
Customize with additional items like cucumbers, red onions, or boiled eggs.
