Ingredients
1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1 cup guacamole
1 cup sour cream
1 cup salsa
1 cup shredded Mexican-style cheese
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced green onions
Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
Stir the refried beans with the taco seasoning until evenly combined, then spread the mixture in an even layer on a serving platter or shallow dish.
Spread the guacamole evenly over the bean layer.
Add a layer of salsa, then sprinkle with shredded cheese, black olives, chopped tomatoes, and green onions.
Place the sour cream in a piping bag or plastic bag with a small corner snipped off. Pipe concentric circles of sour cream over the top of the dip.
Drag a toothpick or thin knife from the center toward the outside at intervals to create a spider-web pattern.
Chill until ready to serve, then serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
For the cleanest spider-web design, use smooth sour cream and pipe thin, even circles.
Prepare the dip shortly before serving to keep the toppings fresh.
Add a decorative plastic spider to the platter for a Halloween presentation, removing it before eating.
