A homemade Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme loaded with seasoned beef, creamy queso, crunchy tostadas, fresh toppings, and melted cheese, all wrapped in a golden toasted tortilla.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup water
  • 8 large 10-inch burrito-sized flour tortillas (divided use)
  • 4 yellow tostadas (divided use)
  • ½ cup queso (divided use)
  • 1 cup sour cream (divided use)
  • 2 cups chopped lettuce (divided use)
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced (divided use)
  • 2 cups shredded fiesta cheese (Mexican blend, divided use)
  • ¼ cup Taco Bell Spicy Ranchero sauce (optional, divided use)
  • Cooking spray, as needed

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain the excess grease and return the beef to the skillet. Add the taco seasoning and water. Simmer until the liquid has reduced, then remove from the heat.
  2. Stack 4 of the large flour tortillas and place a tostada on top as a guide. Use a knife to cut around the tostada, creating 4 smaller tortilla rounds. Set aside.
  3. Lay out one whole burrito-sized tortilla and place ¼ of the seasoned taco meat in the center, leaving enough of a border for folding.
  4. Drizzle ⅛ cup queso over the meat.
  5. Place one tostada on top of the cheesy meat mixture.
  6. Top with ¼ of the sour cream, lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and an optional drizzle of Spicy Ranchero sauce.
  7. Place one of the smaller tortilla rounds over the fillings.
  8. Tightly fold the edges of the large tortilla up and over the smaller tortilla to form a sealed parcel.
  9. Lightly coat a clean skillet with cooking spray and heat over low to medium heat.
  10. Place the Crunchwrap seam-side down in the skillet.
  11. Cook for about 3 minutes per side, or until both sides are crisp and golden brown.
  12. Repeat the assembly and cooking process with the remaining ingredients to make 4 Crunchwraps. Serve warm.

Notes

  • The unused tortilla scraps can be discarded or cut into pieces and baked or fried to make tortilla chips.
  • Keep the fillings concentrated in the center of each tortilla so the edges can be folded tightly without tearing.
  • The Spicy Ranchero sauce is optional and can be omitted for a milder Crunchwrap.
  • For the crispiest results, serve the Crunchwraps immediately after cooking.
