This easy sheet pan pizza features a crispy golden crust topped with rich sauce, melted mozzarella, and fresh basil. Perfect for a quick and flavorful meal the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • ½ pound pizza dough
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil (divided)
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 45 cherry tomatoes (sliced)
  • ½ cup fresh basil (chopped, plus more for serving)

Instructions

  1. Allow the dough to sit covered at room temperature for 20 minutes. Roll it out to approximately 9 x 13 inches to fit a quarter sheet pan.
  2. Preheat the oven to 500°F and position the rack in the upper third of the oven.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the sheet pan and press the dough into the pan. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the dough. Spread the pizza sauce evenly, then top with mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes, and chopped basil.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted. Remove from the oven and top with additional fresh basil and crushed red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Letting the dough rest makes it easier to stretch without tearing.
  • Use a preheated pan for an extra crispy crust.
  • Add toppings like olives, mushrooms, or peppers for variation.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
